Environmental Aspects
Small island developing Countries like Samoa are among the most vulnerable countries in the world. They are on the front lines of climate change, pursuing sustainable development. They share unique issues relating to their small size, remoteness, narrow resource and export base, and exposure to external economic shocks and global environmental challenges, including the impacts of climate change, which threatens not only health systems and infrastructure, but a country’s very survival.
Samoa's entire future revolves around the ocean that surrounds it. Samoa was one of the only countries in the world to declare their waters protected and implemented the Samoa Ocean Strategy
During the retreat you will have the unique opportunity to help restore Samoa's fragile reef system, by planting coral in a marine protected area .
From the plant based diet, to drinking filtered water from reusable bottles. Each step we take is carefully thought out to ensure protecting this beautiful island country. We are also weaving in the opportunity to give back by donating to the local school to support the education of future generations.
