The Retreat Promise

A softer, slower way to retreat.

Malolo — meaning rest in Samoan — is an invitation to slow down, soften and return to your own natural rhythm.

Each morning begins gently with meditation and Qi Gong, flowing into our signature Ocean Flow™ practice — breath-led, fluid movement inspired by the rhythm of the sea. Your days unfold spaciously, with time to swim, snorkel, explore Samoa, experience local culture or simply do less.

As the day softens, we slow with it — moving into Yin Yoga, deep rest and Yoga Nidra, sometimes beneath the stars with the sound of the Pacific around us.

There are beautiful island adventures, shared meals, authentic experiences of Fa'a Samoa and opportunities to give back through coral planting and community projects — but Malolo is intentionally unhurried. There is always space to opt out, rest by the ocean or follow what your body needs.

Our promise is simple: come as you are, move at your own pace, and leave feeling rested, connected and deeply renewed.

Who This Is For

For those who love the ocean and are longing to slow down, Malolo is for you.

There is no rush here.

Created for all yoga levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners, you’re invited to move at your own pace and take what you need.

Mornings unfold gently through meditation, Qi Gong and Ocean Flow™. Later, we soften into Yin and Yoga Nidra.

In between, there is space.

To explore. To swim. To float. To connect. Or simply to rest by the sea.

You’ll experience the natural beauty, rich culture and heartfelt hospitality of Samoa, without feeling the need to fill every moment.

Come as you are.

Slow down. Soften. Breathe.

There is nowhere else you need to be.

Daily Rhythm

Each morning begins quietly with meditation and Qi Gong, before flowing into Ocean Flow™ by the water as Samoa wakes around you. Afterwards, there’s nowhere to rush — enjoy a nourishing tropical breakfast overlooking the reef and ease into the day.

Some days bring gentle island adventures — snorkelling, swimming, To Sua Ocean Trench, beautiful beaches and experiences of Fa’a Samoa. Other moments are simply left open for you to follow your own rhythm.

Afternoons soften into Yin Yoga and deep rest, with space to swim, read, float in the warm Pacific or do absolutely nothing at all.

As evening settles, we gather for dinner, connection and Yoga Nidra beneath Samoa’s star-filled skies.

Move when you want to move. Rest when you need to rest. There is no rush here.

Two teachers. One beautiful rhythm.

Each morning, Hugh guides meditation and Qi Gong before Justine leads you into Ocean Flow™. As the day softens, Hugh brings you into Yin and Yoga Nidra — creating a gentle rhythm of movement, stillness and deep rest.

Moments from Malolo

These are the moments our guests remember long after they return home.

"The retreat far exceeded my expectations the resort and people who run it are amazing! Justine has designed a beautifully balanced mix of yoga, rest and cultural experiences. It is very inclusive I went with a friend but I would happily go on my own next time. Justine and Hugh are inspiring yoga teachers their classes compliment each other. Everything from the yoga to the activities are optional so there is no pressure.."
