Moana
Sound of Samoa

1 - 8 Aug 2026

Samoa Eco Yoga Retreat

Moana Sound of Samoa

In Samoa, the ocean isn’t a backdrop — it’s daily life. You’ll move with the tides, breathe with the waves, and feel the vitality of living beside the moana.

Through yoga and sound healing with Valli Maine — her voice and crystal bowls weaving with the sea — you’ll be guided into the island’s natural rhythm.

This isn’t just a holiday. It’s a sacred immersion.

Time slows here — and you will too.

Guided by the rhythm of Fa’a Samoa, each moment becomes a return to land (fanua), sea (moana), and self.

If your heart feels called, we invite you to step forward while space remains.

A Week in Samoa

A Sample Journey
Your days will flow with the rhythm of the moana, weaving yoga, culture, nature, and moments of deep rest. Here’s a taste of what’s to come…

Day 1 — Arrival & Grounding
Touch down in island time. Settle into your beachfront space, meet your fellow travellers, and open our week together with gentle yoga, a welcome circle, and a traditional Samoan ‘ava ceremony.

Day 2 — Deep Rest
Ease into your body with sunrise movement and join an optional village church visit for soulful connection. The evening invites you into yin yoga & sound under a blanket of stars.

Day 3 — Nature’s Wonders
Begin with ocean-centred yoga, then explore one of Samoa’s most breathtaking natural treasures. Return for a slow evening of stretching and seaside stillness.

Day 4 — Taste of Samoa
Flow into the day with a heart-opening practice, learn the art of preparing a traditional umu feast, join our reef restoration project, and celebrate with siva dance and fiafia night.

Day 5 — Island Day
Go to a secluded island for a day of turquoise waters, soft sands, and barefoot joy. A nurturing workshop and restorative yoga close the day.

Day 6 — Village Connection
Awaken with an ocean-inspired practice before visiting the local primary school or spend the day by the beach, resort or exploring the reef.

Day 7 — Farewell Adventures
Integrate your journey with a morning flow, then explore one of Samoa’s most iconic ocean landmarks and a secret beach before our closing circle.

Day 8 — Departures
A gentle farewell practice and breakfast before we say “Tofa soifua” (until we meet again).

Yoga That Moves With the Ocean

Awaken with the sunrise, soften with the tide. From flowing Hatha in the mornings to Yin and Nidra at night, every practice is a chance to breathe deeper, move with intention, and reconnect to yourself by the sea.

Each day in Samoa begins and ends with yoga — a rhythm that flows with the tides.

Sunrise Practice: Yoga flows and sequences to awaken your body with the first sunrise on earth and the sound of the Pacific.

Afternoon/Evening Practice: Slow, restorative styles — Yin, Restorative Yoga or Yoga Nidra — to soften into stillness, often accompanied by sound healing with Valli Maine, whose crystal bowls and siren-like voice blend seamlessly with the rhythm of the sea.

Throughout the week you’ll also experience:
✨ Guided meditation
✨ A heart-opening cacao ceremony
✨ Yoga Nidra under the Samoan stars
✨ Yoga flows to build strength and ease
✨ Ocean-inspired sound healing journeys with Valli Maine

No matter your level, the yoga practices offered are designed to meet you where you are — offering space to expand, restore, and reconnect to the ocean within.

Sound Healer

Valli Maine

Valli Maine sings to the sea — a true mermaid at heart whose voice carries both tenderness and power, like waves meeting the shore. Raised in a creative, music-filled home in Strathfieldsaye, Central Victoria, Valli grew up surrounded by song, nature, and animals — often serenading the stars, trees, and clouds just as easily as people.

Her lifelong connection to sound and nature has evolved into a deeply transformational practice. With over a decade of experience as a Sound Healer and ThetaHealing® practitioner, Valli weaves crystal bowls, channeled vocal toning, and ocean-inspired melody into immersive sound journeys that touch the soul.

Through her work, she invites others to rest in resonance — to feel the vibration of love, healing, and wonder ripple through body and spirit. When Valli sings, it’s as though the ocean itself is singing back.

The Samoan Way

In Samoa, life moves with the tides.
The rhythm of Fa’a Samoa — the Samoan Way — is rooted in respect for fanua (the land) and moana (the sea), and in the deep bonds of aiga (family).

It’s a way of life passed down through generations:

  • Hospitality that comes from the heart, where guests are treated as kin.

  • Tautua — service to family and community as a natural part of daily life.

  • Talanoa — open, honest conversation that weaves connection and understanding.

When you retreat here, you’re not an observer — you’re a welcomed participant. We honour these values by moving gently on the land, listening deeply to its stories, and offering our presence and gratitude in return.

Giving Back

Our retreat doesn’t just take place in Samoa — it supports Samoa.

Every guest’s journey helps protect this island home through:

🌊 Coral Restoration
You’ll have the chance to plant living coral, helping to regenerate the reef and its marine life.

🌱 Reforestation Program
We offset the carbon footprint of every retreat by planting native trees on the islands.

📚 Lalomanu Primary School
From uniforms to resources, we work alongside the school to support education and opportunity for local children.

By coming here, you’re part of something bigger — a living exchange of care, culture, and community. You leave with memories, and Samoa is left stronger for your visit.
